A Father's Rights, by William Fain
A Father's Rights is the distrubing real-life account of one man's struggle against a skewed legal
system that allows him no rights to his own daughter, and his efforts to protect her from abuse.
Based on a true story and filmed in Dickson, TN.
Guilty Until Proven Innocent, by Janks Morton
The film tells the story of five men's experiences with the maily courts as they attempt to retain
a relationship with their children. Hans tells of not seeing his children for years, while Brian talks
about seven years of litigation to stay in his daughter's life. Kenny speaks of being taken directly
from court to jail, ten days after major surgery. Their stories are all our stories.
The Squid and the Whale, by Noah Baumbach
It tells the semi-autobiographical story of two boys in Brooklyn dealing with their parents' divorce
in the 1980s. As the parents set up a schedule for spending time with their children, Walt and Frank
can hardly imagine that things could get more combative between their folks, but they do; the two boys
begin taking sides in the battle between their parents...they also show internal struggles and very
different ways of handling the stress of their parents' divorce.
At the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, the film won awards for best dramatic direction and screenwriting,
and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. Baumbach laterreceived an Academy Awad nomination for Best
Original Screenplay. The film received six Independent Spirit Award nominations and three Golden Globe
nominations. The New York Film Critics Circle, Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the National
Board of Review voted its screenplay the year's best.

J.E.N. (Judical Education Notices)
The majority of honest and courageous family law professionals will tell you "family
law is broken." The Judicial Education Notice (JEN) is a courtesy from the Center
for Parental Responsibility (CPR), sent to judges in Minnesota. The JEN is a short
educational bulletin providing the well documented and abundant research that
explains: why children need both parents equally.

JEN Vol. 1 (No. 2) Nov 15, 2007 - Joint Physical Custody - Most Constitutionally Compliant
